Great site, but wondered why the events are not listed in order of date the event is on? (19 Dec '10)
- Thanks, we're pleased you like the site. Events should be organised in that order and this is obviously a glitch that's occurred since the site was made live. We've notified the experts and hope to get this remedied as soon as possible. Do let us know if you find any similar anomalies!
There appears to be no link back to the MCC corporate website. (19 Dec '10)
- Whilst visitors should find most of the information they need on this website, the Monmouthshire County Council website may be useful for traffic updates, local news and information on local services. The 'tourist information centres' section contains a direct link to the site, whilst local operators of tourism businesses can click 'Trade' to find out how Monmouthshire County Council's Tourism service may benefit their business.
Just wondered why a picture of Newport appears on the towns and villages home page when this is a Monmouthshire site, plus when you look at places to stay e.g. hotels, the first entry is Newport - would think this site is sponsored by Newport BC and not MCC. (19 Dec '10)
- 'Wye Valley & Vale of Usk' is one of the official marketing areas of Wales, recognised by Visit Wales, and contains the local authorities of Monmouthshire and Newport. Monmouthshire County Council leads on the promotion of the destination to UK leisure visitors and as such receives a financial contribution from Newport City Council. This website is part of that coordinated campaign to promote the Wye Valley & Vale of Usk, both its rural and urban environments. Incidentally, search results appear in a random order to ensure fair coverage for all tourism businesses featured on the website, whichever local authority area they are situated in.
